Student Scientific Society of the Pirogov Medical University brings together students on a voluntary basis to realize their scientific potential. Society activity is based on the principles of self-government and publicity.

The Society coordinates the work of student research groups working on academic chairs and research laboratories of the University, participates in the organization of student conferences and competitions, and organizes events for the popularization of science.

The university has more than 80 student research groups. Every September, the Society holds an open day, introducing students to their activities. In addition, any student can join these groups at any time. Curators of the areas, in which research groups are working, will help him/her navigate.
